Our Rock Star Dad!

Darrell and his band "Next Phase" had their first performance last night. They played at a multi-stake single adult dance in Middleton. They really sounded great for their first gig! The kids were stoked to get to wach their dad be a "rock star". I quite enjoyed watching them too! Here are some pics. The lighting was bad, and they had strobe lights and a fog machine going so the quality isn't great...

2 Weeks Old!

I can't believe how time is flying already! Ezra is 2 weeks old today. He pulls the best faces...thought I'd share some with you. He loves his buzzy chair, eating, and sleeping with Daddy. He hates, getting undressed, taking a bath, and waiting more than a second for food. His 2 week doctor appointment is on Wednesday, and I am not looking forward to it. Good thing Darrell will be there too!

You've Been Tagged

Ok...Amy "tagged" me so here are 7 random facts about me:

1. I just had my first child 8 days ago! (I love you Ezra!)

2. I LOVE french fries!

3. I lived in Las Vegas for 3 years.

4. I have been to NYC twice in the same year. (Very extravagant for me...I am a penny pincher.)

5. I always wanted to be a professional singer, and used to sing Whitney Houston songs at the top of my lungs while wearing headphones (sorry you missed it, aren't ya?)

6. This will be my eighth year teaching school!

7. I am a people watcher, and secretly enjoy being ward chorister so I can see what's going on!

I tag Candice, Mindy, Jill, Kristin, Jen, Emily, and Margaret!

Ezra Aden Ward has arrived!

Our baby boy has finally come! We went in Sunday night at midnight to be induced, and I had intentions of no drugs...BUT...labor was much much much more painful than I ever thought it would be, so at about 10:00 am I finally caved and asked for an epidural. It came a bout an hour later. Wow! What a difference! I was fully dialated by 12:30 or so, and pushed for the next several hours. Ezra was born at 3:29, and was 8 lbs. 13 ounces 20 3/4 inches long.

We came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon, and have had Grandma Barnes here to help. Thank Goodness! The delivery was a pretty rough one, so my recovery is going to take some time. We sure appreciate all of the help! Darrell will be home for about a week, which will be so nice. Kaylee, Ash, and Branson were able to come to the hospital, but are anxious to come back to see their little brother. Thank you to all for your thoughts, prayers, gifts, and food! We love and appreciate each of you!
