No Pics Because of My Prego Brain...

So, I can't post pics because of my crazy pregnant brain. Yes, I still know how to post pics. Yes, I have pics to post. No...I still can't post them. You see last week, late one night, I was in "cleaning mode" and was frantically trying to take care of as many things as I could while Ezra was being entertained by his Dad. The problem was, I was also being entertained/ distracted. I grabbed the camera bag and retrieved the battery charger. Tossing all four batteries in, I plugged it in and proceeded to go on about my evening duties. At about 1:00 or 2:00 AM, I was startled awake by a sort of popping noise. Darrell was awakened too, and thought it might have been the magnets falling off of the fridge. While most magnets do not just fall off fridges, Ezra frequently plays with ours, and who knows...Anyway, to ease my curious mind I ran out to check. No magnets on the floor. Then, I thought maybe I had accidently tripped the ice maker in the freezer and it was trying to make ice, though it isn't hooked up to water. Nope. Not that either. So I headed back to bed. A few moments later...POP! Sizzle...sizzle...sizzle. I ran out and realized it was coming from the front room, near the door. As I turned on the light, I noticed black dripping down from the battery charger that I had placed in the outlet a few hours earlier. I though maybe there was a short and we might have a fire starting in the wall or something. As I ripped the charger from the wall, there was yet another POP! Spewing what I finally realized was battery acid all over the floor. What in the world?? I grabbed a plate from the cupboard and laid the charger on it. As I did, I noticed that the batteries that I had placed in the charger were in fact (as you may have already guessed) regular, non-chargeable batteries. Man, I felt DUMB! The next morning Darrell teased me because the warning label on the charger said to not place regular batteries in the charger as it will cause small explosions. Ha! They were surely right! Anyway, my silly, pregnant brain has done it again! Thus...no pics until I get to the store for a new battery charger.

Thought I'd share a few Ezra funnies and facts though...
1. He still tells me he is "busy" instead of itchy. 2. The Lion King is our new obsession. He refers to the bad lion as "Scarf" instead of Scar. 3. He is pretty much potty training himself. Our goal is undies by the time baby Jacob arrives! 4. He recognizes the letters E, Z, R, A, D, K, B, and G. 5. He LOVES to sing and makes up new words to go with songs he already knows, just to be funny. 6. He is obsessed with saying the prayer, and if someone else wants to say it we have quite the fight on our hands. 7. Today he told me I was a man. When I explained that I was a woman, he said, "No Mommy, you are a queen!" Ah...sweet. 8. I bought him a tiny Book of Mormon at the local distribution center, and he is so proud of his "scriptures". "You can't chutch them Mom. They are very special to me." 9. He dislikes cats as much as I do, and loves to blow the air horn at them. 10. He calls Cabellas the "jungle" and the zoo the "real jungle". 11. He loves Savers! 12. He has the greatest ideas about what we should have for dinner. The other day he had chili at school for lunch, and really loved it. His teachers warned me that they had given him 3 LARGE helpings. When I asked him what we should have for dinner he said, " I have a great idea! How about chili?!" 13. He loves to wrestle with his Dad on our bed. He thinks he is Nacho Libre (though I banned him from the movie at least 6 months ago), and strips down to his diaper to jump all over his Dad. 14. He calls chocolate "chlocolate". 15. He loves "chlocolate" so much that he will scrape the chocolate chips out of his cookies and leave the rest. (Grrr...) 16. He is obsessed with my hair being down, out of my ponytail. 17. His new favorite thing is to sit on the couch with his little tray and a bowl of cereal watching his "shows". 18. He is VERY particular about how things are supposed to go. Makes us crazy! 19. He loves his tie his brother let him have. He calls it his "Bransie tie" and has to wear it every Sunday. 20. After we read scriptures in his room (I read to him and he copies what I say out loud), he then "reads" to me and I have to copy what he says. It usually makes no sense, but the name Jesus and Nephi often come up.

I could probably go on all night, but just thought I'd give you something to peruse. Sure love that kiddo! Can't wait for this other one to get here! So grateful for my hubby and his willingness to work at an icky job for us. AND especially for his help around the house! So concerned, still, as to what I will be doing in the near future (job-wise), but just trying to have faith (and as Ezra always sings "Keep trying! Don't give up. Never give up!" from Yo Gabba Gabba) G'night all! My boys are in bed, and I must join them!

Our Kids Are Getting So Big!

It's true...kids get bigger, smarter, and way more expensive! We sure love 'em though! We had a really fun weekend last weekend. The big kids were here, and we celebrated Kaylee's 12th birthday! She is in Young Women's now, and is so happy to be there.
We decided to let the kids choose a family activity for their birthdays this year, instead of getting a bunch of gifts. Kaylee chose to go to a place called Shanks, where you can do glow-in-the-dark miniature golf. It was a riot! Ezra had so much fun, we could hardly keep up with him. I forgot to take the camera there, but here are pics of our family party:

After we ate cake, they all had a big wrestling match on the floor. Lot's of giggles, lot's of screaming, and until we had a few little tears, it was a good time had by all!
Ezra and Branson were good buddies this weekend. Ezra could hardly stand to let Brans go back to his mom's house Sunday evening. He has asked me about going to pick up Bransie all week. Poor kid...it will be nice when he has a brother to play with ALL of the time!
He sure can be a stinker though! Last week he was throwing some real crazy tantrums, and one of the days it was so bad he got all of his toys taken away. He was in his room where he was supposed to be napping, and his toys were here waiting to be earned back! He didn't get them back until the next day. (I'm a mean mom!) Despite his stinky-ness, Grandma still loves him. He is getting very good at his ABC's, in fact whenever anyone asks his name he spells it out for them E-Z-R-A. So, Grandma used her fancy machine to cut out his name in vinyl for the wall in his room. Pretty cool, huh?
