Baby Boy

I don't think I have blogged ultra sound pics. Not sure that other people really ENJOY looking at them, but I thought I'd put them on anyway. We enjoyed looking at them! Ultra sound tech said he is quite active and a little stubborn. Hmmm...who does that remind me of?

Just Regular, Everyday Life Pics

Not alot going on around here, but I thought I'd post a few little pics of our regular, everyday life.
These are the only pics I took at Thanksgiving. It was freezing cold and the kids only stayed outside about 20 minutes, or so.



It snowed like 7 inches this week, so Daddy took Ezra outside to make a snowman.



I've posted before about Ezra's love of music and musical instruments. This is one of his favorite past times. I love it way more since I found the headphones!

Ezra also thinks he is a grown-up, and wants to do everything we do. (Please over look our 50's style green and pink, ugly duct-teped floor, messy bathroom.) This morning he wanted first to wear his towel like Mommy:

Ugly Sweater Party

Just thought I'd share this fine photo. We went to an ugly sweater party a while back and we just got pics tonight. My hair started out much bigger than that! Darrell's sweater has a golfing scene complete with score cards on it. So sweet!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! So many things to be thankful for, but mostly thankful to my Father in Heaven for all of it!

Halloween

Always a little late, but I try... Anyway, we had quite the fun this year, despite the fact that Halloween was on Sunday! It all began with a carnival at Ezra's school (and my work), where we ate, trunk-or-treated, and played carnival games. It was especially fun because almost all of our cousins were there. Ezra was Old MacDonald.

THEN...our ward had trunk-or-treat, so we went and ate, played games, and passed out/ received tons of candy! Kaylee had a school party that night, so she wasn't with us. Darrell put on his old motorcycle gear as his costume, and once he saw, Ezra refused to be Old MacDonald anymore. We did our best to make him into a "motorcycle guy" like Daddy.
We also had a few celebrations at home: pumpkin carving, playing games, carmel apples. Fun for everyone! (Darrell's pumpkin is from his garden this year! So fun!)



lastly...we attended Boo at the Zoo in hopes of getting some candy for Kaylee. It was total chaos, and I don't know that we would do it again, but here are a couple of pics with Kaylee in them. Her mom made her a really neat masquerade costume this year.

Big Brother

Welp...better make it official...Ezra will be a big brother in April. Been waiting to tell most people because I have been so nervous after having a miscarriage last March. We are pretty excited though, and Ezra wants a "grill" baby. We'll see!

Ezra Turns Two!

I can't believe how time has flown by! Ezra turned two yesterday, and he had quite a day! Daddy's mid-week days off are coming to an end, so we were sure to leave Ezra home for a morning of "Daddy Time". I came home around 12:30 and we went out for a bite to eat. The ladies at Quiznos threw in a "birthday cookie" which was very much enjoyed! Then he came home for a little snooze while I hurried to decorate his dinosaur cake.
After he woke up, he went with his Dad to pick up the big kids and bring them home. We had some pizza for dinner, and then all of the family arrived. Ezra was thrilled to have visitors, and we could hardly talk him into coming into the kitchen so we could do cake.
He opened a bazillion gifts, and was so excited about each one. "Thank you" to grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings for being so generous. Ezra is such a lucky boy to have all of you in his life. Anyway, my baby is two, and I am feeling old and tired. I can't imagine what I ever did without him. He keeps us on our toes, and totally wears us out, but we love every minute of it! Happy Birthday Bubby!

Blog Slacker...

I realize I have been quite the slacker in the blog department. In my defense, I'm TIRED! At any rate, we are home an hour early due to yet another cold, so I thought I'd take a moment to blog about a few things I have forgotten. In mid-August Ezra and I went with my mom and Amy's kids to the fair. I had no intentions of putting Ezra on rides, as I thought he would be too scared. Much to my surprise, and dismay, he was very excited to ride rides. So, I coughed up a few bucks, and Grandma coughed up quite a few more, so that he could go on rides. He had a blast!


Also in August, we were thrift store shopping and found the cutest little bike. Ironically, the training wheels cost us more than the bike did, but at $14 total I think we did rather well! Ezra is getting quite good, though we only let him ride on our drive-way. Still...for a one year old...

Other then that, Ezra is just getting way too big. He surprises us every day with a new word, or phrase that seems way too big coming from his mouth. He always wants to try dressing himself, but gets easily frusterated. This was his choice for an outfit one morning. OH...and this is what you get when you tell him "smile"! Love it!

Night Terrors

Has anyone ever experienced night terrors with their toddler? I have been researching, and I think that might be what we're dealing with. Poor Ezra. Just curious about your experiences and advice...

Utah!

Things have been a little tight this summer, but we decided to use some of our kitchen money and go to Utah for a few days. As much as I am anxious for a kitchen, I very much enjoyed time away and visiting my in-laws. We set the kiddos up with movies in the car and headed out, after the Primary activity, last Saturday. We arrived in Utah around 8:30, and enjoyed visiting until time for bed. Sunday was another nice visit day. We only attended church for an hour, then came home and enjoyed a delicious meal, yummy cookies, and naps. Monday we decided to go to Temple Square and go through the Church History Museum. The kids really enjoyed that! Their cousin Colton was able to come with us too! In the museum are the death masks of Joseph and Hyrum Smith. I know I am somehow related to Hyrum, so these were of particular interest to me. The kids really enjoyed the Primary Room which had lots of interactive displays, such as: a nativity scene, the iron rod, stained glass, and much more! The Christus was another fav. Ezra kept singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. On Tuesday, we went to the Hogle Zoo! What a treat! It was super HOT! Darrell and I took Ezra and sort of "raced" through the zoo, leaving the big kids with their Aunts and cousins (Thank you!) Ezra is completly in love with elephants, but seeing them up close and personal kept saying "I don't like it". He loved the monkeys, turtles, giraffes, gorillas, and the alligators (who were "swimming"). That night Aunt Julie and Uncle Joel let us come and swim at their house. I swam too, so I didn't get any good pics of that, but here is Darrell and Ezra jumping on the tramp. Lastly...many of you know that Ezra is a HUGE fan of motorcycles. Well, while we were at Julies, Daddy took him for a ride on one of their scooters. It was absolutely the highlight of our trip! he asks to watch the video over and over again...
