I have been a bit pre-occupied lately with some fun family celebrations, and have neglected to update you on our cute little guy, and other happenings around our house! The month began with Grandma Barnes birthday! Ezra really wanted to make her caramel corn, so we whipped up a batch before school that day. I tried to nap the boys together one day. It was fun and cute for a bit, then Ezra started poking at him and finally asked if I could put him in his own bed. I tried! Jakey has really starting to do some big boy things! He loves to talk, and I was able to catch some of it on video here:
He also tried cereal for the first time this week. He is a champ of an eater...are we surprised? At his 4 month check-up this week he weighed in at a woppin' 15 lbs! The interesting thing is that he is in the 81st percentile for weight, height AND head circumference! Very well-rounded boy! :) Ezra went to the dentist for the first time this week. He was awesome! The ladies all loved him and couldn't believe he was only two. He was most proud of his prize and oral care products. We have a special place for them in Mom's drawer in the bathroom. Very exciting!Finally...Darrell has been slaving over his garden this summer. We have been picking green beans like crazy, and decided we'd better learn to can them! So...today we did! I did half pints because we don't eat too many at a time. 12 pints total (24 half-pints) (No...this is not Little House in the Prairie!) That is 5-6 months worth of green beans for us!
